I may be the cheapest on some things, and other things not, but there is a reason I am still in business after becoming the first iPhone repair shop in Iowa back in 2009. I have seen a lot of shops come and go, and now it seems the market is flooded with repair shops. What sets me apart from the chains and franchises is the fact that I am in this to make an honest living and provide my community with a repair shop they can trust will be there when they have an issue. I have remained a one-man shop since the beginning, not interested in hiring someone to sit in a kiosk in every mall in town hoping to make a quick buck. I value my reputation too a fault, and realize that it is my customers that keep me in business when they share their experiences with their friends and family.
I use only premium quality parts, and I stand behind those parts should there be any manufacturing defects. When I first started repairing iPhones back in 2009, there was basically only one "grade" of replacement screens, and the price would vary by a couple of dollars between different vendors. Nowadays, there are literally 3-4 different grades to choose from. An aftermarket iPhone 7 Plus screen can be had on eBay for less than $30 any day of the week. Would I install it on my iPhone? No. I paid a lot of money for my iPhone and I want my replacement screen to look, feel and respond just like the day I bought it. Some of the cheaper screens use glass that cracks much easier, have LCD's that have lighter colors, blurry text and DON'T include 3D Touch. The defect rate is also very high on these screens. The premium screens I use on the other hand, look, feel, respond and include all features of the screen that was on your iPhone when you bought it. They also cost me 3 times what an aftermarket screen costs. But when I install that screen, I am 99% confident that I will not see that customer return complaining of any issues. Why not 100% confident? Defects happen and not always right away, so if they do have an issue, I'm here to take care of it.
